Anthony Gaines is the head coach for the Greenwich Stars Spring AAU Freshman and Sophomore Basketball Teams.
Anthony is a Senior Basketball Coach with the Greenwich Stars. Anthony won (5) New York Section One Basketball Championships in his (11) Years as Varsity Coach for Clark Academy (Dobbs Ferry, NY). Anthony played center/power forward in college for Tennessee State and St. Thomas Aquinas and then with the Harlem Globetrotters.
Anthony is an outstanding basketball coach. He is one of the most respected basketball teachers in the region. His positive reinforcement and his unique ability to communicate with players at all levels makes him a special coach. Anthony wants every player to be fundamentally sound and believe in themselves. Anthony inspires his players to respect and love the game of basketball as much as he does. His teams play tough and smart defense. His players always play to win and give maximum effort in practice and games.
Anthony is a School Social Worker for Woodlands High School (White Plains, NY). His devotion and love for his students makes him a beloved figure by players and parents.
Play Spring basketball with the Greenwich Stars – on our AAU teams, and in our clinics and leagues. Basketball is for boys and girls ages 6-16. Players are welcome from all towns.
