The Extraordinary Waterside School

The Waterside School (Stamford, CT) is one of the most incredible schools in this country. There’s no school like it. For the last 4 years on Monday afternoons, the Greenwich Stars Basketball Organization has volunteered their time teaching basketball and offering life lessons to students (see thee attached photo with some of the Waterside students at our Holiday party). Waterside is a co-educational independent school serving children and families regardless of limitations in income or circumstance.  Waterside is an extraordinary school and community and The Greenwich Stars are honored to be associated with a place we love so much.

Try out for the Greenwich Stars Spring AAU and Travel Basketball Teams.

FREE Tryouts are on: January 14, 15, 16 at Carmel Academy (Greenwich, CT).  24 Spring Basketball Teams for boys and girls ages 6-16 from all towns.

SPRING Basketball Season: March 25 – June 9.

There are 2 Ways to Play Spring Basketball with the Greenwich Stars. We have teams that fit busy schedules in the Spring (see the below options):

** Spring AAU Tournament Basketball:  Games are on Saturdays/Sunday in the Spring. Local Games. Little Traveling. 2 Practices a week. Tournaments are on 1/2 the Spring weekends – leaving you time to do other activities on many Spring weekends. Your child can play in the famous Spooky Nook Tournament (at the world’s largest indoor sports facility). Your child will also have the opportunity to play in the Zero Gravity National Basketball Championships in Boston. Note: The Greenwich Stars are 3 Time Winners of the Zero Gravity National Basketball Championships.

** Spring Travel Teams: Games are on Fridays – not Saturdays/Sundays. No Traveling. 1 practice a week. Play is on Fridays at Carmel Academy in Greenwich vs other teams in the region. The Friday game schedule fits the busy schedule for Saturday/Sunday families in the Spring.

The Greenwich Stars have 2 great locations: Carmel Academy (Greenwich, CT) and The Solomon Schechter School (Hartsdale, NY). The Greenwich Stars’ players are from 38 towns in New York and Connecticut and are the largest and most successful basketball organization in the region.

Professional Coaches: No Parent Coaches. No Politics.
