It was a fantastic weekend for the Greenwich Stars Basketball Organization.
(5) of our Spring Boys Teams made it to the Championship Game of the prestigious Zero Gravity New York “Super Cup” Basketball Tournament over the weekend (April 21/22) – 8U Blue, 10U Blue, 11U Blue, 12U Blue and 16U.
AND Congratulations go to (3) Greenwich Stars Teams that won the “Super Cup” Tournament: 10U Blue and 11U Blue (both teams are led by Coach Henry), and 12U Blue led Coach Jean (see the attached photo of the 3 Super Cup Trophies won by the Greenwich Stars).
* 10U Blue won the tournament in the most unreal and thrilling atmosphere you could ever imagine storming back in the last 7 minutes of the game to win the tournament. They went undefeated (4 and 0) in their 1st tournament of the season.
* 11U Blue beat some of the best teams in the Northeast and won the tournament and went undefeated (4 and 0). They are now 8 and 0 on the season and have won 2 consecutive tournaments.
* 12U Blue won the tournament in convincing fashion, and went undefeated (5 and 0). It was their first tournament of the season.
10 Blue, 11 Blue and 12 Blue have now qualified and will be playing in the Zero Gravity National Championships in Boston in June.
